The first packed out Property Live event was held at Harben House, in Newport Pagnell, on Monday, April 24, with a range of investors looking for ways to make their money work harder for them.
“We were stunned at the turnout,” said Neil Briggs, the managing director of MK-based Inspired sales and lettings. “There is clearly a demand from small and medium investors in the Milton Keynes region to look for better returns on their property portfolios.
“Buy-to-Let landlords often get a bad press and government tax changes mean there is concern that they will be seen as a cash cow by the Treasury. People are now looking for new solutions and new ideas and that is why we are bringing Property Live to the scene.”
Victoria Beale, of Victoria Beale Consultants, owns the Property Live brand which is being taken to other towns and cities in the summer.
Victoria said: “We have held two Inspired Landlord Summits in Milton Keynes, which have seen a significant rise in attendance from 75 to 110 delegates and more big names are coming on board as we look to the future.”
Last week, IKEA agreed to host the Property Live Breakfast at its base in Milton Keynes on Friday, June 16. This will be in advance of the next Landlord and Investor Summit, at stadium:mk on the same day.
